Decode a travel nurse offer

Paste a job post (Vivian, Trusted, Indeed, an agency site) or your recruiter's text. We pull out the pay and show the taxable rate hiding behind the weekly number, check the stipends against the federal ceiling, and show what travelers were offered at that hospital and what they say about the agency. Free, no account.

Questions

How do I know the taxable rate behind a weekly travel nurse pay number?
Job boards show one weekly total. Most agencies pay the housing and meals stipends at or near the GSA ceiling for the work location, so subtracting both ceilings from the total gives the likely taxable pay; divide by the guaranteed hours for the hourly rate. Ask the recruiter for the exact split in writing before you sign.
Why does a low taxable rate matter if the weekly total is the same?
Overtime, holiday pay, missed-shift penalties, 401(k) matches and unemployment are all figured on the taxable rate, not the stipends. Two offers with the same weekly total can differ by hundreds of dollars once overtime or a cancellation happens.
Is the text I paste saved anywhere?
No. The decoder reads the text in your browser and never sends it to TravelNurseMap or anyone else. Only if you choose to share the offer are the numbers (not the text) submitted, anonymously.

The likely split assumes stipends at the GSA FY2027 ceiling for the work ZIP and dates; the real split can differ. Estimates only, not tax advice.
